When life feels lifey...
Saying yes to truth, space and becoming
Hi There,
The last time I wrote you I shared that I would be offering more yoga classes. I also shared at some point that I was working on a website and would be unveiling it soon. And I’m sure I wrote you with some other plans as well. But all the plans got stalled by LIFE.
Life is so lifey sometimes. Sometimes it’s really hard to keep it all in balance and to keep making progress. I’ve learned that some things just need to fall to the way side until there is energy and space again. And that is okay. I have given myself permission to let things go. If you’re feeling the pressure, please give yourself the same gift - it feels so much better to lessen the weight!
What’s been happening for me behind the scenes includes a divorce, co-parenting, being a mama to my almost 10-year old, buying a home, starting a Handywomen business with my partner Nicole, experiencing love like you see in the movies and wish for in your real life, and jumping into our nearby swimming hole on a daily basis to balance my nervous system (stress and overwhelm have been intense!).
Another thing that’s been happening is that a few months ago I said yes to co-leading a trip to Peru with the lovely and amazing Liz Jackson from Gogi Abroad. Then I called her and said “I can’t do it..I have too much going on, I don’t have anymore to give.” She lovingly reminded me that that’s exactly why I need to do this trip….it’s about giving to myself and embracing it as a way to honor the many transitions I have experienced in the last two years…..and the person I have become and am becoming as a result.
So I said, “Yes!” again. I said yes to:
Taking a pause from work and all the daily to-do’s
Saving and spending money on traveling (and myself!)
Creating space to honor my heart and all the sadness, anger, joy and peace it holds
Stretching outside of my comfort zone to co-lead a trip with two amazing experienced leaders!
Trusting that the timing is right, even if it feels crazy or not “perfect”
Letting adventure and nature remind me who I am
Honoring the woman I’ve become — and giving her room to keep unfolding
Allowing joy, play, and awe to be just as important as responsibility
It’s so liberating to say YES! And to know that this experience is for me in every way. Honoring the pain and heartache, the growth and evolution that my body and heart have navigated over the last two years is exactly what my soul is needing.
I am so excited to pack my bags, head off to a new place and see what happens next!
If you’re also craving space…
If you’re ready to honor your own becoming…
If you’re longing for truth-telling, connection, or liberation…
I would love for you to join me in Peru. There’s still space, and it might just be the YES your soul is asking for too.
Lots of love,
Amanda
